ARA Property Services offers a comprehensive range of cleaning, maintenance and rapid response services for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, government and food manufacturing facilities across Australia and New Zealand.

ARA Property Services utilises the broad range of capabilities offered by the other ARA divisions to provide cleaning and maintenance services to the highest standard.

ARA Indigenous Services has been extended the right to use the ARA Property Services NoCO2 and Carbon Neutral Service logos; and have been included in the certification obligations of ARA Property Services; outlined below.

ARA Indigenous Services offers a diverse range of industrial services through the ARA Group, as well as guiding and mentoring all of ARA’s divisions to meet engagement and employment objectives with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Founded in 2015 by Michael O’Loughlin and Paul McCann, CMC Indigenous Services (now ARA Indigenous Services) started out delivering an integrated property maintenance service including; contract cleaning, maintenance services, soft services and waste management and has expanded to multiple industrial services since forming a partnership with the ARA group in 2017.

Michael O’Loughlin is an accomplished AFL player with a career spanning 20 years and Paul McCann is a successful businessman who directs national cleaning and property services company, ARA Property Services.

What does NoCO2 Certification mean?

By meeting the requirements of the NoCO2 Program, ARA Property Services is certified as a Carbon Neutral Business by CRI; can be promoted and marketed as such and can display the NoCO2 Logo issued by CRI.  To achieve this status and become carbon neutral ARA Property Services undertook the following process:

1. Commissioned a NoCO2 audit from CRI to measure their carbon footprint for FY2021. CRI’s NoCO2 audit follows the standards outlined by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (1), in addition to the international standard ISO 14064.1 (2).
2. Have committed to offset their unavoidable emissions through the purchase of units in approved projects under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard, and
3. Committed to ongoing annual auditing of their emissions.

What Carbon Credit Projects does ARA Property Services purchase offsets from?

India Wind

Investments in clean energy sources, such as wind, are considered to be essential both in the interest of the environment and for public health reasons. Wind projects partially displace electricity currently generated from grid-connected conventional fossil fuel-based thermal power plants, while reducing emissions. Wind Projects reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and limit local air pollution, curtailing its negative health impacts. In addition to its environmental benefits, the implementation of the project creates job opportunities for local workers, contractors, and suppliers, while the operation and maintenance of the wind park generate long-term employment positions.

China Wind

The China Wind Projects provide renewable, clean energy sources for power generation. They partially displace electricity currently generated from grid connected conventional fossil fuel based thermal power plants, thereby reducing overall emissions. Furthermore, by reducing harmful pollutants in the atmosphere, the projects also provide public health and local environmental benefits.
